We're Keeping 100% Of Our People / Launching the APRIL CHALLENGE

Dear Music Educators,

Our entire team is thinking of you, and I mean all of us.

Despite all the serious challenges we face in this crisis, Zeswitz Music has not laid off, furloughed, reduced hours or cut wages for any of our employees. As businesses everywhere are forced to make painful cuts, I'm extremely proud that our company is taking great care of the people who take great care of you, and that we are fully complying with all life-saving guidance to limit the spread of COVID-19.

We're already thinking about a bright future for your program, but we know not every business in our industry can do that. Many school music programs still depend on multi-location retail store chains for their rentals and repairs. Unfortunately those are some of the hardest-hit businesses in this crisis. We're especially glad in this environment that Zeswitz Music is not a store. As a result, the only locations we care about are your classrooms.

Not only is keeping 100% of our staff the right thing to do for our people, it means that Zeswitz Music is poised to emerge from this crisis as an even stronger partner for you and your music program.

Along those lines, here are three important Zeswitz operations updates for you:

  1. Our repair team and our Education Representatives are planning for what could be the busiest and shortest summer season in our 97 year history, followed by a fall season that will be critical to help your music program recover. As you consider your recruiting plans for beginners and/or your needs for summer repairs, please share your thoughts with us. We want to make your reservations for all the capacity you need, and we're eager to help you tackle new recruiting and retention challenges.

  2. Please also tell us what we can do now to help with any instrument-related emergencies to support your students' remote learning. We are shipping loaner/exchange/rental instruments or accessories directly to homes. Please contact your education representative or me for details.

  3. Your parents can continue to order from us online, and they can contact our 100% operational contact center online or 610-406-4300 during business hours. We are receiving calls from parents who have sudden hardships and financial concerns, and we're doing our best to accommodate them on a case-by-case basis to keep their students in your bands and orchestras.

You, your students, and your music program are Zeswitz Music's #1 focus, as always. Please stay tuned for updates, and please follow us on social media for new resources and highlights about great things going on with remote learning, such as:

  • The APRIL CHALLENGE  - see below

  • Our "Savvy Music Teacher" online video series on our youtube channel

  • COVID-19 Educator Resources on our website

Above all, thank you for all you continue to do for your students!

Sincerely,

Randy Shayler, Owner & CEO
